Ice climbing and mixed climbing<\/h3>

Ice and mix climbing is an activity very much affected by weather conditions, requiring proper investigation of a site and usually result in much uncertainty. With climate change, winter is become shorter, and good ice climbing conditions are become more difficult to encounter. Ice and Mix climbing, often times goes hand in hand with alpinism, based on going to the mountain, scouting a site, and deciding whether or not the route is safe. Since the ice is not a constant variable, it will only harden and freeze during a specific amount of time.<\/p>\n

Destinations such as Gavarnie, Fuenfr\u00eda, Izas, Bielsa, Alanos, Telera, Midi d’Ossau, Cavallers and Canal Roya are found to be the most popular sites for ice climbing in the Pyrenees. The season tends to be short and most likely non existent. This is why is recommended to travel to Cogne or to the Italian Dolomites, Kandersteg in Switzerland, Ecrins in France, Rjukan in Norway, the Rocky Mountains or Quebec in Canada, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
